Bua Kaew Tara

This project was developed by a multicultural team of five students and focuses on designing a hotel that reflects the cultural and spatial qualities of Bangkok. The aim was to create a luxury hotel that responds to the unique identity of the country while improving the connection between the local community, visitors and the river.

The design considers local mobility systems, important places, green areas and public paths. Inspired by traditional Thai roof forms and lotus flower, the building introduces a curved layout that opens toward the river, allowing natural ventilation, daylight and a shared semi–open courtyard.
